The Myth of Nostalgia: Collecting and Memory

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Cesare Asaro (creator, Finding Frank and His Friend), Peter Maresca (editor, Sunday Press Books), Kirstie Shepherd (Gadabout Time Machine User's Manual), and James T. Walker (Batman: The Brave and the Bold) have been collecting, creating, and selling nostalgia for over 40 years. Join them for a panel discussion on how collecting allows us to revisit memories from the past -- even a past that we might have been too young to have seen or may never have existed at all. They'll explore how nostalgia can be invented, whether it goes in and out of fashion, and what happens when the collector becomes the creator.
