Although Tsukune Aono has bad grades, he's accepted into a private high school. Meeting a pretty girl, Moka Akashiya, he's surprised to learn she's a vampire. After learning that his new school is for Youkai disguised as humans and intolerant towards them, Tsukune decides to leave. Moka, who's lonely and knows he's human, persuades him to remain, as they both care about each other. When Tsukune removes the rosary around Moka's neck, her other personality emerges to easily defeat any delinquent Youkai threatening them. Tsukune and Moka keep his true form a secret, however the other male students are jealous of their budding relationship.
